Resources

Check out these resources to see how different school districts are using SEL to support teachers, students, and parents:

HealthyMindsBC: Neurodiversity & Mental Health This resource supports B.C. educators to better understand neurodiversity and promote the mental health of neurodivergent students using strengths‑based, inclusive approaches. It offers concise, classroom‑ready guidance on Universal Design for Learning, social inclusion, and neurodiversity‑affirming practices that help reduce stigma and foster belonging in K–12 schools.

Everyday Anxiety Strategies for Educators (EASE) is a free, evidence‑informed program that gives B.C. educators curriculum‑aligned classroom lessons and online professional development to help K–12 students build skills for managing anxiety and strengthening resilience. Available in English and French, EASE includes resources for both elementary and secondary grades, complements the First Peoples Principles of Learning, and offers EASE at Home activities in multiple languages so families can practise strategies across home, school, and community settings.

North Vancouver School District (SD44): "COVID-19 Resources For Parents, Educators, and Students" features a 'Mental Health Corner', including mindfulness activities, as well as links to various SEL resources:
